VALERIE

Pilates Instructor

Valerie is a Pilates and yoga instructor who is certified in pre- and post-natal care with a focus on pelvic floor health. After a running injury, she took a Pilates mat class to work on her strength, stability, and alignment. She instantly loved it and saw that it helped her continue to run long distances, injury-free. Wanting to learn more about Pilates, she decided to become certified as an instructor. Her group classes are classically-based with a modern twist and an athletic flair. Valerie enjoys working with people one on one, helping them figure out their movement needs, and creating a plan to help establish and improve a mind-body connection. She has worked with clients diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, scoliosis, and osteoporosis. Since she’s a long-distance runner, she’s well aware of the many potential running injuries and is able to help on any running related issues. Valerie's love for Pilates comes through in each class and every interaction. She believes everyone can benefit from Pilates to help them live their best life and find a holistic connection to their body.
